Gift from the Heart – National Day (and Week) of Giving

The Gift from the Heart National Day of Giving is an invitation for oral health professionals across Canada to come together, open their hearts, and spread kindness in their communities.

We all know someone who cannot afford the care they need. By opening your heart to just one person, together we create healthier lives and stronger communities.

What will your Gift from the Heart Day look like?

Maybe it’s the part of your profession you love most:

• Oral cancer screenings
• Motivation and education
• Debridement and preventive care
• A conversation that helps someone feel seen and supported

Your day of giving can happen anywhere—a shelter, community centre, newcomer group, youth centre, seniors’ program, or mom’s group. We encourage all oral health professionals to offer a FREE service to someone who needs it most.

While we celebrate our National Week of Giving, what matters most is not the date—it’s the intention. Whether you give back during the Week of Giving, another day that works for you, however you can, or whenever you can, every act of kindness counts.

To support you, Gift from the Heart prepares SWAG Boxes once a year in June, filled with helpful supplies to support your day of giving. The first 200 offices that register will receive one SWAG box.
